Comments and Reviews
Aimed At: As the card can be tailored by the individual themselves, it is aimed at a wide variety of consumers.
Review: Another Accucard-based offering, the More Th>n card is pretty similar to the competing issuers that also repackage this card. As with all the other flavours, you get to tailor the card to meet your own requirements, choosing options such as level of cashback and annual fee, which trade off against the standard APR.

If we consider setting the card to high cashback and no fee, we find that More Th>n provides a 0.8% rebate at an interest rate of 14.8%. This is slightly less competitive than other re-branded cards, such as the impressive Accucard itself, which boasts (on equivalent customisation) a cash return of 0.8% against a standard APR of 14%. It also provides a 0% offer on balance transfers for 6 months, compared to the 5 month deal with More Th>n.

These hybrid cards offer good value when used as cashback cards (although the American Express Blue gives them a good run for their money). However, there is better APR available elsewhere, such as Capital One’s Platinum card, which provides standard APR of 10.9% and includes 0% purchase APR for 6 months, an offer that is omitted on all the products that use the Accucard backbone.

If you have other More Th>n products (which is part of Royal & Sun Alliance), then it may be easy enough to pick this card up as a bundle, and if that is the case, it is a more than acceptable card. When it comes to these rebranded packages, there really is little to choose between them, and quite frankly, they’re all going to do a reasonable job.
