Charge Cards & Corporate Cards
Charge cards are very similar to credit cards. The big difference is that on a
charge card the balance must be paid in full at the end of the month,
while with a credit card this is not the case.
The two most famous charge cards are run by Diners Club International and American Express.
Many charge cards are used by businesses, such as the Amex Small Business Gold Card.
This usually means that there is no monthly
spending limit, as the business (and not the individual) will ensure that all
bills are paid at the end of each month.
To entice corporate executives and other affluent individuals to use the
charge card rather than alternative methods of payment, financial organisations
providing these cards will offer incentives through reward schemes such as
cashback deals and airmiles.
